The Intel® Xeon Phi™ User's Group (IXPUG) is an independent users group whose mission is to provide a forum for the free exchange of information that enhances the usability and efficiency of scientific and technical applications running on large High Performance Computing (HPC) systems using the Intel® Xeon Phi™ processor. IXPUG is administered by representatives of member sites that operate large Phi-based HPC systems. IXPUG holds meetings and other activities as determined by its members to further its mission. Participants include staff from member sites, users of member sites’ facilities, Intel staff, and others with an interest in using the Intel® Xeon Phi™ for scientific computing on large HPC systems. Participation in IXPUG meetings and other activities is open to anyone interested in using the Phi for large-scale scientific or technical computing. If you would like to hear more regarding the IXPUG community, please register as a user at https://www.ixpug.org/join. The week of events will include an Intel® Parallel Computing Center (Intel® PCC) members only (NDA required) session, followed by the IXPUG Workshop and Tutorials, which are free to public. We encourage all to join the various sessions hosted by IT4Innovations, VŠB - Technical University of Ostrava in Ostrava, Czech Republic.

Venue

 

The venue of the Intel® PCC meeting and IXPUG Workshop is Clarion Congress Hotel Ostrava. The IXPUG Tutorials will be held at the New Auditorium of the VSB - Technical University of Ostrava.

Social Events

Two social events will be organized during the week. On Monday a welcome reception will be held at the IT4Innovations building. During the evening you will have a chance to join a guided tour of the Salomon supercomputer the main system operated by IT4Innovations.

On Tuesday you are kindly invited to join us at the social event in our University Planetarium. During the evening you can watch documentaries in its spherical 3D cinema.The planetarium corridors are full of entertaining exhibit items you can explore and if weather allows you can watch stars with a telescope.

Shuttle busses

Shuttle busses will be organized to take you from the Clarion to IT4Innovations building as well as Planetarium and back to the hotel after the event. Shuttle busses will be available also for a transport from Clarion to the venue of the tutorials on Thursday and Friday.
