Annotation

This webinar will expose the different facets of the software stack developed by the IO-SEA project. It will provide training on the following:

  • Object storage on disks and tapes
  • Hierarchical Storage Management applied to object store
  • Ephemeral IO services with a focus on
    • Tools to export object store as NFS shares
    • On-demand burst buffers
    • Accesses via the Amazon S3 protocol
  • Users' point of view and workflow management
  • Monitoring of the whole system

About the tutors

Philippe Deniel

Philippe Deniel is a Research Engineer in CEA/DIF since 1998, and Fellow Expert at CEA. Philippe is the scientific coordinator of the IO-SEA project funded by EuroHPC, and the original developer of NFS-Ganesha, an open-source NFS server in user space available under the terms of the LGPLv3.
