The webinar is organised by the SPACE CoE and NCC Czechia.
Annotation
The target audience is HPC experts from all domains interested in evolving their codes to "exa-scale". While the benefits of this seminar for the audience may be uncertain, they could be interested in discovering how a different community is solving computational problems and implementing algorithms. Conversely, the benefits for the speakers will come from the audience's observations, discussions, suggestions, and even error spotting.
Language
English
Level
Intermediate, advanced; the talk is intended for experts in HPC who do not necessarily have a domain-specific knowledge in cosmology and astrophysics.
Prerequisites
Experience in HPC.
Technical requirements
Expertise in HPC
Tutors:
Luca Tornatore and Geray Karademir are astrophysicists and cosmologists who conduct their research activity mainly using numerical simulations as tools to inquire about the intricate web of physical processes that shape our Universe from large scales down to galactic scales. They also became HPC experts and, as such, experienced a cumbersome double personality.
